Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a government organisation established in 1985 through an act for the development and promotion of export of scheduled products. APEDA registration or registration-cum-membership-certification (RCMC) is provided by the APEDA authorities to exporters of Scheduled food products under APEDA ACT. Without having an RCMC membership, no exporter can commence their business for enlisted food products as per the guidelines.
Objectives of
APEDA
The objective of APEDA is to promote schedule products export and to achieve this various functions has been undertaken by this body under the regulation of central government. Central government lays down the rules and regulation and implements through this body for the efficient administration of APEDA Act.
Eligiility For
APEDA
Any person or food business operator indulging in the export of one or more food products listed under the First Schedule and Second Schedule of the APEDA act.

- Fruits, vegetables, and their products
- Meat and meat products
- Poultry and poultry products
- Dairy products
- All kinds of chocolates, Cocoa, and its products
- Cereals and Cereal products

- Groundnuts, peanuts, and walnuts
- Pickles, chutneys, and papads
- De-oiled rice bran
- Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Green pepper in brine
- Guar Gum
- Floriculture and floriculture products
- Herbal and medicinal plants
- Confectionary, biscuits, and bakery products
- Honey, jaggery, and sugar products

Advantages of
APEDA
- With respect to the export of scheduled products, APEDA registration is mandatory.
- Exporters can avail the various financial assistance schemes of APEDA.
- It helps the exporters in brand publicity through advertisement, packaging development, database up-gradation and surveys etc
- Provides guidelines to exporters about the various products and countries for export
- Registered members can participate in training programmes organized by APEDA for various scheduled products and thereby improve their business.

Certificate of incorporation of the Firm (partnership firm if required)
NOC from the pollution control board
